Old Souls Sanctuary is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in the state of Louisiana, founded in 2011 to give elderly and unwanted dogs a secure, comfortable home for life.
We actively promote the adoption of older dogs. We spay/neuter all dogs, bring them up to date with shots, worming, microchipping, and heartworm prevention. We provide our dogs with all necessary veterinary care, including treatment for such things as heartworm disease, kennel cough, pneumonia, intestinal parasites, urinary tract infections, fleas and ticks, and dental care.
Old Souls Sanctuary is run entirely by our co-founder Ruth, with no paid staff, funded solely through public donations. Our work has earned grant support from organizations like the Marion & Richard Graham Foundation and the Doris Day Animal Foundation, among others.
